Sarka is a museum for the whole family located in Loimaa, just about an hour from Turku by car.
Visitors can become acquainted with agricultural artefacts, traditions and customs. They can try their hand at machine milking with Pellikki the tin cow and the children’s slide is open all year round. In the summer there are also domestic animals at the museum.
The scale model exhibition tells how the imaginary village of Sarkajoki has developed from the Bronze Age to the present day. Power from the Machines! – exhibition demonstrates the history of agricultural mechanization.
The museum's cafe-restaurant serves traditional country food and from the museum shop Muurikki you'll find souvenirs to take home.
