Raisio is the shopping hotspot of Southwest Finland.
Situated alongside the Raisio bypass, the Mylly Shopping Centre, IKEA department store, and many other surrounding businesses make this the retail heaven it is. In Raisio Centre you will find 135 businesses more.
The wonderful shopping in Raisio could easily distract you for a whole day, but remember to visit the town's cultural offerings such as the Harkko Museum, the Krookila Local History Museum and the Raisio Church.
Harkko hosts changing archaeological and contemporary art exhibitions. Krookila is home to, among other things, summer theatre, a hearty lunch buffet, smoke sauna, and lots of vintage Arabia stoneware. Raisio’s grey stone church is one of the oldest churches in Finland. The Church is also the site of the Chapel of Light Urn Cemetery, whose walls are made of glass and floors are covered by ivy.
Raisio is easy to explore on foot. The Raisio Route (8.4 km) loops round the downtown area and past the views of the sea. On the River Route (5.7 km) you’ll get to know Raisio's beautiful river valley. A route information board can be found on Tasala Square in Raisio Centre.
