Pöytyä’s nature invites the hiker, canoeist or lover of outdoor sports to come and visit.
Kuhankuono trail network consists of almost two hundred kilometres of maintained trails covering Pöytyä’s natural gems, the Kurjenrahka National Park and Vaskijärvi Strict Nature Reserve. The trails are supported by the Luontokapinetti Nature Information Centre. The region boasts has no fewer than 11 lakes, and the largest of them, Pyhäjärvi, offers excellent opportunities for swimming, fishing and other water-based activities.
Great shopping discoveries can be made in Pöytyä, at places like Kolme Kolikkoa Antiques or Myllynmyymälä Riihipuoti, as well as the handicraft treasure troves of Lintakalle, Nuppari and Design Anneli Kiukainen. Don’t forget to stop in at the eco-friendly country store Mustikkatassu.
